‘Will soon shift Chintpurni Medical College students’

-

PATHANKOT: Chief minister (CM) Captain Amarinder Singh on Saturday assured students of Chintpurni Medical College that his government will ensure their careers are not risked due to the mismanagement of college authorities.

The college is owned by Swaran Salaria, SAD-BJP candidate for Gurdaspur Lok Sabha byelection.

He said steps are being taken to shift students to other medical institutions in Punjab. The CM’s remarks came during a meeting with students after he arrived in Pathankot for a rally of ex-servicemen. The Medical Council of India (MCI) has ordered the college to suspend admissions for two sessions due to alleged lack of infrastructure and staff.

The students also complained to the CM that they were being threatened by Salaria to pay fee.
