Dussehra takes Congress vs BJP hue in Pathankot

Chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh’s participat­ion in the Pathankot Dussehra celebra- tions had spurred a race among the other candidates, who marked their attendence at different venues.

BJP candidate Swaran Singh Sal aria was seen attending D us sehra at Manwal village few metres away from the venue where Captain Amarinder was invited to participat­e.

While AAP candidate Major General (retd)SKKhajuri a joined Di na na gar residents to celebrate the festival.

Captain Am arin der Singh who skipped the political speech, spoke only for few minutes on the issue of drugs.

During the event, MLA Amit Vij stressed that the drug men ace like Ravana, and should be destroyed just like his effigy is burnt every year.

Congress leaders and their supporters had also thronged the Pathankot stadium where Captain was invited to attend the festival along with the locals.
