Murder: Residents block road over police ‘inaction’

BATHINDA: Family members of Buta Khan, who was allegedly murdered in July, and residents of Maur Kalan village on Monday blocked the Bathinda-Mansa road at Maur demanding action in the case. The family alleged that it’s been three months since Khan was murdered but the police have failed to trace the accused. Meanwhile, village residents, along with Bhutto Kaur, 70, mother of Khan, also continued their protest in front of Maur police station. Buta Khan of Maur Kalan went missing on July 5. His body bearing injury marks was recovered from the gutter of a rice mill where he worked as security guard on July 8.
