Man arrested for attempt to murder

FARIDKOT: Police have arrested one Satnam Singh on Monday for allegedly trying to set his younger brother’s two-year-old son and wife on fire in Jaitu on Sunday. Police said the incident took place at Bishnandi village near Jaitu after Satnam Singh had an argument with his younger brother’s wife, Rubi, 32. However, Rubi managed to save her son but she sustained serious injuries. She has been admitted to Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital, Faridkot, and is stable now.
