BC PANEL COMES UP WITH PORTAL TO GATHER QUOTA FIGURES

CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Backward Classes Commission on Monday launched its website http://hbcc.nic.in to gather data related to reservation for backward classes.

Justice S N Aggarwal (retd), chairman of the commission, said any person can place data before the commission, including the welfare of scheduled caste and backward classes department, on or before November 30.

The objections pertaining to the data can be filed on or before December 30. Punjab and Haryana high court has directed the commission to submit its report to state government by March 31, 2018. Justice Aggarwal said the state assembly had passed the Haryana Backward Classes Commission Act, 2016, under which HBCC was created to examine requests for inclusion or exclusion of any citizens.
