GE offers to set up gas power plant in Punjab
CHANDIGARH: US-based multinational General Electric (GE) has offered to set up a 2,400 mega watt (MW) gas-based power plant in Punjab, promising to deliver power to consumers at ₹4.81 per unit. The offer was made by a company representatives to CM Capt Amarinder Singh during a meeting on Thursday. The CM asked the firm’s chief executive officer Deepesh Nanda to submit a proposal in a fortnight.
