GE of­fers to set up gas power plant in Pun­jab

CHANDI­GARH: US-based multi­na­tional Gen­eral Elec­tric (GE) has of­fered to set up a 2,400 mega watt (MW) gas-based power plant in Pun­jab, promis­ing to de­liver power to con­sumers at ₹4.81 per unit. The of­fer was made by a com­pany rep­re­sen­ta­tives to CM Capt Amarinder Singh dur­ing a meet­ing on Thurs­day. The CM asked the firm’s chief ex­ec­u­tive of­fi­cer Deepesh Nanda to sub­mit a pro­posal in a fort­night.
