Police get Pak man’s fiveday remand
JALANDHAR: The city police secured five-day custody of the Pakistan native and Austrian citizen Ehsan-Ul-Haq on Thursday.
The police had demanded a seven-day rem and claiming that he needed to be interrogated about the purpose of purchasing a plot in Alipur village in the district, near Jalandhar Cantonment. The city police stated before purchasing the plot and construction of the house, he lived in a rented accommodation at Deep Na gar near Cantonment locality, whenever he visited the country.
A case under Sections 409 , 420 , 465 , 467 , 468 , 471 and 120B of the Indian Pen al Code(IPC) and Section 14 of the Foreigners’ Act was registered against him.
