PAN CH KU LA: The Pan ch ku la police on Friday submitted in a local court original sale deeds of Sirsabased Dera Sacha Sauda’s properties, details of bank accounts besides debit and credit cards used by jailed sect head G ur meet Ram Rahim.

The police said they made these recoveries during the nineday remand of the der a head’s ‘adopted daughter’ Honeypreet Insan who was sent to judicial custody.

She along with her aide Sukhdeep Kaur will be lodged at the Ambala central jail. During her remand, Honeypreet was taken to several places where she is believed to have stayed during her month-long hiding before her arrest last week from the Zirakpur-Patiala highway.

Not pressing for her further remand, the police told the court that during her hideout in Sri Gursar Modia last month, she dumped a large suitcase in a nearby village that was recovered when she was taken there on Wednesday.

“She packed all these stuff in haste when she left the dera on August 27 night, two days after Panchkula violence. That suitcase contained dozen of sale deeds of dera properties, details ofdera’sbank accounts, hereducational certificates and debit and credit cards the dera chief and she used,” the police said. The police said these details were important to zero in on her role as a conspirator in inciting the August 25 violence in Pan ch ku la. Honey preetw ill now be produced in court on October 23.

LAPTOP, MOBILE DATA TAMPEREDWITH

The police claimed to have recovered Honeypreet’s laptop and mobile phone. While the laptop was recovered during a search operation at the dera, the mobile was handed over to the police by dera chairperson Vipassana on Friday after she reached for questioning here.

However, the data in her mobile phone, al at es ti Phone version, was found deleted .“Honeypreet has feigned ignorance about this. The matter is being investigated. We will be sending her phone for data recovery to the government-run CF S Ll ab oratory ,” said an official .“Her laptop had revenue details about the dera ,” said the official.

CHARGED WITH W AGING WARAGAINSTSTATE

The police told the court that she has been charged under Sector 120-B (criminal conspiracy), 121

(waging, or attempting to wage war, or abetting waging of war, against government) and 121-A (conspiracy to commit offences).

The police earlier had not specified the charges in the FIR.

Panchkula police commissioner AS Chawla said they had enough evidence to nail Honeypreet as a main accused in inciting violence in Panchkula on August 25.
