Motorcycle used by RSS leader’s killers found
LUDHIANA: A day after the fatal shooting of RSS leader Ravinder G os a in in Ludhiana by two bikeborne assailants, police found the motorcycle used by the assailants from Majh-Phaguwal village near Lad how ali na forested area along National Highway-1, 10 ki lo metres from the murder spot, on Wednesday afternoon.
Police were investigating near an amusement park on the highway when a villager informed about the abandoned Hinda Stunner. At this, police commissioner RN Dhoke, along with DCP (investigation) Gaganajit Singh, and ADCPs Ratana Singh Brar, Sandeep Garg and Surinder Lamba, reached the spot. A sniffer dog squad and a forensic team too reached.
However, after the police traced the registration number (PB10-CU-7223) to a man named Krishan of Phullanwal village, 20km from Ludhiana, the house was locked and he was traced only by the evening. He told the police that he had sold the 2010make motorcycle to someone a few years ago, it’s learnt.
The motorcycle was stolen from Dholewala Chowk in the city on October 10, said the Dhoke.
He added that the recovery of the motorcycle gives an idea that the killers had fled towards Jalandhar.
Police also scanned all CCTV cameras installed from the Jaland har bypass chowk to Ladhowal. This includes three installed under Safe City Project and seven on private buildings. But the killers were not captured in these, sources said.
