77 lakh tonnes of paddy procured so far

CHANDIGARH: Punjab government agencies and private millers procured 77.17 tonnes of paddy till Sunday evening. On Saturday alone, 6.2 lakh-tonne paddy was procured., said a spokesman. Of the total procurement, government agencies procured 75.24 lakh tonnes (97.5%); and the rest was procured by the millers.
