BLUNDER OF DEMONETISATION

Demonetisation has proved to be a decision that not only disrupted our economy but also hit trade and industry, forcing many units to close down. Once the economic cycle is broken, it is very difficult to revive it. Their was no compelling situation for the Centre to take this extreme step. It was a decision taken without adequate deliberation. Valuable resources and time have been wasted in the entire exercise and many people even lost their lives. The GDP is also declining. Law should amend suitably to ensure that such drastic steps are not taken in a haste again. Deepak Saraf,
