SC’S CRACKER BAN A GOOD STEP

Many people chose to defy the Supreme Court’ s ban on burning firecrackers this Diwali and thus contributed to air and noise pollution. They also jeopardised the health of others. The extravagance of some can’t be changed overnight. However, the apex court’ s order did have some effect on ground as this Diwaliw as relatively less polluting than the previous ones. If the SC continues taking such strict decisions, more change can be seen in the years ahead. The lack of unaccounted money post demonetisation also had its impact on people’s purchasing power.
