No role of Barala’s nephew in Fatehabad girl kidnap case, Haryana police tells HC
CHANDIGARH: The Haryana police on Wednesday told Punjab and Haryana high court that it has found no role of Haryana Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Subhash Barala’s nephew Kuldeep Singh in an abduction case of a Fatehabad minor girl.
The Haryana police said that the probe was conducted by a special investigation team and following its investigation an FIR cancellation report has been prepared, which was under consideration of district police Fatehabad.
The information was given during resumed hearing of the case at high court. The complainant girl andher mother were also present during the hearing, who were called inside the chamber by the bench. Later hearing was adjourned.
The high court was hearing petition of girl’s mother in which she had demanded a probe by a senior official or independent agency. Barala’s nephew Kuldeep Singh faces allegations of kidnap. It was alleged by the victim family that police was not taking action against the accused persons since some of the accused were relatives of Subhash Barala.
The petition was filed in June this year. As per the petitioner, the case was registered in May 2017 for kidnapping of the girl from a Fatehabad village. It was alleged Vikram Singh of the same village had abducted her in connivance with Kuldeep and others. The girl was later rescued but threatened by the accused for not naming them. It was also alleged that Vikram had raped her in April.
