SHIMLA : Former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hood a said that Congress will succeed in quelling in-party rebellion. Huda, who is part of a panel constituted to placate rebels, claimed that the leaders were consulting disgruntled leaders who revolted after being denied tickets.

Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Hooda said the Congress was in a comfortable position in Himachal Pradesh .“The Congress government here has focused on development,” he said, adding that the people of state will give a befitting reply to the Centre’s Modi government. “The Centre has done two things that has hampered the common people,” he said.

“Demonetisation kept common people in queues and GST has affected the business class,” he said .“After implementation of GST, people are telling BJP lead- ers “Gayi Tumhari Sarkar” (GST),” he added.

Hooda said demonetisation has snatched the livelihood of several people. “The BJP had promised to provide jobs but instead of creating jobs, the BJP government snatched livelihood by demonetisation,” he added.

“The youth has been waiting for the job. Himachal’s people will vote keeping all these facts in mind,” he added.

The former chief minister of Ha ryan a also accused the central government of failing to safeguard the interest of farmers. “Farmers are disappointed as the government failed to implement the Swaminathan commission report,” he said adding state BJP is “leaderless and issueless” and is contesting elections in Him ach al in the name of national leadership even as the centre’s decision has proved disastrous.
