LUCKNOW: With prominent stakeholders distancing themselves from Art of Living founder Sr iSri Ravi S hank ar’ sA yodh ya mediation mission, chief minister Yogi Adi ty ana th too has played down the mediation moves.

Yogi said talks had failed to bring a solution to the Ram temple-Babri Masjid issue in the past too.

One should wait for the Supreme Court’s hearing on the issue beginning on December 5, he added. December 6 happens to be the 25th anniversary of Babri Masjid demolition.

“Talks have been initiated earlier as well but without any solution. Still I welcome anyone who makes efforts again. Supreme Court is hearing the case, we should wait for it,” said Yogi to a news agency on Thursday.

Yogi’s observations have assumed significance in the back- drop of roadblocks that Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has to face during his trip to Ayodhya.

wAfter All India Muslim Personal Law Board’s decision to stay away from his mediation moves, Ravi Shankar’s meeting with Ram Janmbhoomi Nyas president Nritya Gopal Das and Iqbal An sari( son of main litigant in the Ram temple Babri Masjid case, late Hashim Ansari) on Thursday also failed to make any headway.

A day before leaving for Ayod hy a, Ravi S hank arm et Yogi for about 40 minutes at CM’s official residence here.
