Ryan case: CBI to check fingerprints on toilet walls
GURGAON: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), on Wednesday, moved an application to the principal magistrate seeking his consent for taking fingerprints of the 16-year-old juvenile accused of murdering an eight-year-old schoolmate at Ryan International School.
The accused juvenile is lodged in the Observation Home, Far idabad, since November 11.
According to the sources, the CB I officials have extracted some portions of the toilet wall and toilet cubical to check the juvenile’s fingerprints.
After the victim’s throat was slit, he had crawled till the toilet gate with the help of the wall and his prints were visible on the wall till the gate of the toilet.
The CB I officials had taken the juvenile’s school bag, three school shirts, trousers, school shoes, hard disk of his computer, laptop and mobile phone from his residence in Sohna on September 28.
The CBI wants to check the fingerprints with the prints on the school bag of the victim, toilet wall and the toilet door, said a source associated with the case.
The lawyer and the father of the juvenile accused alleged that the CBI officials have not given a copy of the application to take the fingerprints of the boy, to them. They said that fingerprints were the basic forensic evidence and when they had taken three days custody of the boy they should have taken it.
“An innocent child has been implicated by the CBI officials without any evidence and the officials are playing with his career. Till date, we have not received the copy of the application filed by the CBI officials and they are intentionally holding the same”, said Sandeep Aneja, lawyer of the juvenile.
The father alleged foul play. “When they already had custody of my son for three days, why they did not take his fingerprints which are basic for the preliminary investigations? They have not given a clean chit to the bus conductor, so why his fingerprints are not taken yet”? questioned the father.
SUBMIT JUVENILE’S BIRTH CERTIFICATE: CBI
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) sent a notice to the father of the juvenile on Saturday, asking him to submit the original birth certificate and the Class 10 board mark sheet to the CBI headquarters on Monday.
