Khattar directs officials to respond promptly to plaints

KURUKSHETR­A: During a Jan ta Darbar( open hearing session) in Kurukshetr­a, chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday directed all officials to respond promptly to complaints filed by people.

As many as 207 complaints were received during the session on Saturday. Most of the complaints were against the police, revenue and electricit­y department and were heard during the session.

A large number of unemployed youth also reached for the session and demanded jobs from the chief minister. Reacting to the complaint, the CM said that government jobs are being provided on the basis of merit and they can fill up forms against the vacancies advertised by the government. On contractua­l posts, the chief minister, while warning of strict action for irregulari­ty in appointmen­ts, directed the officials to appoint youths on the basis of merit. Actingona complaint, the CM suspended an assistant at P eh ow a SD M’ s office over allegation­s illegal possession of land and a fake BPL card. Reacting to a complaint of one Rajbir Singh, the chief minister ordered probe into the death of animals in Hathira village. The CM also directed the officials of all department­s to provide a receipt to the complainan­t, when they come to their office with a complaint.

Later, the CM also held a meeting with the district administra­tion officials and inquired about theprogres­sonthework­ofdevelopm­entalproje­ctsandanno­uncements made by him.
