17 IAS officers shifted

SHIMLA: The government has appointed 1991-batch IAS officer JC Sharma as the principal secretary (home and vigilance, horticultu­re, excise and taxation and income technology).

Additional chief secretary (ACS) Tarun Shridhar has been to animal husbandry and fisheries department.

ACS (finance) Shrikant Bald, who holds the charge of finance, planning, economics and statistics, shall hold additional charge of agricultur­e department.

ACS-cum-principal secretary to CM, Manisha Nanda, will hold additional charge of environmen­t, science and technology, informatio­n and PR, tourism and civil aviation.

Anil Khachi will hold additional charge of HP sales tax tribunal. Tarun Kapoor has been transferre­d to forest, TCP, urban developmen­t and housing department. Nisha Singh has been shifted to ayurveda, rural developmen­t, pan ch a ya ti raj and labour employment department.

Sanjay Gupta is now principal secretary (technical education).

RD Dhiman has been shifted to multi-purpose power projects, power and industries department. Prabodh Saxena has been appointed as principal secretary (health and social justice).

Onkar Chand Sharma has been shifted to revenue, civil supply and tribal developmen­t department. Devesh Kumar has been shifted as secretary IPH and Arun Sharma has been transferre­d as secretary education.

RN Batta has been posted as registrar cooperativ­e societies while Purnima Chauhan has been shifted as secretary administra­tive reform and language art and culture. R Selvam has been shifted as commission­er (excise and taxation).

Secretary to governor, Rajesh Sharma, will now also hold the additional charge of director industries.
