‘Hooda did not fulfil promises but is now taking out rath yatras’

KARNAL: In a veiled attack at Congress and (Indian National Lok Dal( INLD leaders, BJ PM Pf rom Kurukshetr­a Raj Kumar Saini has said that politician­s, who did not do anything for the people of Ha ryan a during their rule do not have any right to criticise others.

Saini, who was interactin­g with the media in Karna lon Monday, said that former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda had failed to do anything for the people of the state during his 10-year rule and was now taking out ra th yatras and asking questions about developmen­t to the threeyear-old BJP government.

“I want to ask Hooda, why he was taking out rath yatras when he did not fulfil the expectatio­ns of the people, especially youths and farmers, when he was in power,” he said, adding, “In the past 70 years, the Congress had been in power most of the times and left people suffering for basic amenities such as drinking water, electricit­y, education and roads. Now, they are planning rath yatras.”

He also targeted Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) leaders and accused them of misusing public money by constructi­ng statues of their family members.

“Now, all the politician­s are giving speeches over the longpendin­g issues of farmers and poor, but they did not do anything to solve these issues when they were in power,” he added.

Saini said that public money should not be wasted by politician­s to fulfil their political motives. “Several politician­s have set up a business empires using public money. Such politician­s do not have any right to target others ,” he added.
