32yearold out to relieve herself gangraped in UP
BAREILLY: A 32-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped when she went to attend nature’ s call in Uja ha ni area of Bad au non Friday morning, police said.
The woman was admitted to government hospital in Badaun for medical examination from where she was transferred to Bareilly District Hospital on Saturday morning. Her condition is stable. Medical examination confirmed rape. Initial reports had said she was pregnant, but this was ruled out in the medical examination.
Station house officer of Ujahani police station Rajiv Kumar S harm a was suspended on Saturday for delay in registering the case. S harm a was asked to report to Badaun police lines.
“The incident took place in Na garKachh ala area which falls under Ujahani police station. Family members of the woman lodged a complaint and police are investigating the matter,” said senior superintendent of police, Badaun, Chandra Prakash.
According to the complaint, the woman left home to relieve herself early in the morning .“She was overpowered by a group of men while she was returning home.
They forced her to a secluded place in the fields and gang-raped her,” the complaint says. It is not clear how many men were involved.
Family members claimed they found her unconscious .“She was lying on theed geo fa field and her clothes were torn. I carried her back home... when she regained consciousness she narrated incident ,” her husband said. HTC
