Hooda gives Tanwar meet a miss: ‘I’m not in the know’

HIS AR: Former chief mini ste rBh upin der Singh Hooda on Wednesday skipped the' man than shivir' organised by Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) president Ashok Tanwar in Hisar.

Addressing mediaperso­ns at Congress Bhawan, As ho kT anwar said ," We have organised the manthan shivir for Congress workers as assembly elections are approachin­g. We have also invited all Congress leaders of the state. If someone does not attend the meet, it is their choice."

"The manthan shivir will conclude in Rohtak and I have directed all the Congress workers and leaders to work round-theclock for the party to gear up for the elections," he said.

Tanwar claimed the BJP will not be able to develop an internatio­nal airport in Hisar. "No one from the government visited the house of the mart yr in G ur ga on ," Tanwar added.

At another press conference in the district court in Hisar, Hooda said he was not aware of any ‘manthan shivir’ being organised. On the CBI chargeshee­t against him, Hooda said, "The B JP is now showing political vindictive­ness ." The CBI has filed the chargeshee­t against Hooda and 33 others in the Man es ar land deal case, charging them with criminal conspiracy and graft.

"The Congress is readyfor the elections. Manohar Lal Khattarled BJP government in the state has failed to maintain law and order and the state," he said.

Hooda said farmers are protesting against the BJP government for the last 25 days as it failed to provide water to 80 villages for irrigation ." Land inn early 80 village has turned barr en. The Congress government provided water to the farmers ," the former CM said.
