ROHTAK: A team of the CM flying squad and local police on Sunday seized more than 7,600 litres of spurious diesel that was being filled in machines at petrol pumps.

The spurious diesel was to be mixed with the pure fuel and then sold to customers. Two people filling the spurious diesel in the bunkers were caught redhanded and arrested, while one of their accomplices fled the spot. The police said they had seized the tanker that was being used to ferry the spurious fuel.

Officials added that an employee of the district food and supplies controller department in Bhiwani prepared the diesel and colluded with petrol pumps to fill it in their machines.

This would then be sold to customers, cheating them.
