Khattar launches Parivartan scheme to transform 46 backward blocks
CHANDIGARH: The Manohar Lal Khattar government in Haryana on Wednesday formally launched “Parivartan” (transform) — a programme that targets to develop 46 blocks under the watch of Team Haryana, a group of senior 46 IAS, IPS and IFS officers.
“This scheme aims at unleashing the energy of Team Haryana for making lives better in 46 developmental blocks of the state,” a government spokesperson said.
These blocks are spread across one-third of the total area.
“During a two-month long exercise, parameters for various development works under the scheme have been carefully thought out, leaving no scope for ambiguity in measuring performance,” he added.
The 46 senior state cadre officers have been allocated one block each where they will undertake works in 10 selected common fields and in one field of their choice.
Haryana Governance Reforms Authority (HGRA), headed by Prof Pramod Kumar, director, Institute for Development and Communication (IDC), will monitor and evaluate the implementation of this initiative.
The ten fields include Swachh Bharat, congestion-free bazaars among others.
Khattar directed the administrative secretaries to visit the blocks allocated to them at least once. He will review the scheme on April 21.
Meanwhile, the top-rung Haryana bureaucrats led by chief secretary DS Dhesi under the watchful eyes of RSS Pracharakturned-CM Khattar had to sing a four-stanza song — Manushya Tu Badaa Mahan Hai.
