The rise in different kinds of food adulterations and other changes for the worse in the world has put many of us under the risk of contracting one or the other disease. In order to avoid the worst case scenario, we list some changes one can make in the lifestyle to avoid different types of cancer.

DRINK FILTERED WATER

Try to use a water filter based on reverse osmosis (RO) technology at home for safeguarding oneself from cancer. One can reduce exposure to several carcinogens and chemicals by drinking the clean water. One should drink plenty of water every day. One thing which we usually ignore is storing the clean water in a proper way. The RO filtered water should be stored in a clean steel container instead of a plastic one. The container should also be cleaned regularly with RO water only. Drinking clean water is not only helpful in avoiding this deadly disease, but also helps one maintain a healthy lifestyle.

MARINATE MEAT

Although non-vegetarians have a higher risk of contracting the disease, marinating meat is a good option to prevent it. Processed meat may contain cancer-causing heterocyclic amines, which forms when meat is heated at high temperatures and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, which are formed on meat when it is cooked with the help of charcoal. One should marinate meat for an hour before cooking the food to stay healthy.

TURN COFFEE-LOVER

Drinking coffee can help one reduce the risk of contracting the disease with ease. This brewed drink, which contains caffeine, can also help in stimulating the metabolism of the body. It is very helpful in staying fit and healthy. Regular use of coffee for a long period of time is advisable.

GO FOR BROCCOLI

This cancer-preventing superfood is a great way to avoid cancer. One should have steamed Broccoli regularly instead of boiled as the vegetable loses a lot of ingredients in boiling. This food is very beneficial in maintaining a healthy lifestyle as well. Its raw form contains several B vitamins and manganese. It also has low content of protein, fat, carbohydrates and fiber.

AVOID SUGAR

Apart from increasing calories and triggering obesity, sugar can also lead to some types of cancer. It is advisable to avoid sugarsweetened beverages to keep a check on body weight.

KEEPING MOVING

One should always have a habit of standing, walking and jogging regularly. It is instrumental in keeping one fit and avoid cancer. One should also not remain in a sitting position for a long time.
