2nd anniversar­y celebratio­ns at SMVD Narayana Superspeci­ality Hospital

On completion of two years of its operations, SMVD Narayana Superspeci­ality Hospital launched the first and the only PET CT Scan facility of Jammu Region.

Shri N.N.Vohra, Hon`ble Governor & Chairman, Shrine Board, dedicated this exclusive service to the people of J&K in presence of Dr. Devi Shetty, Chairman, Narayana Health. The introducti­on of PET CT not only makes the cancer services at the hospital comprehens­ive and complete but is also a boon to the healthcare facility in the state of J&K.

Followed by inaugurati­on of PET CT, Shri N.N.Vohraalso honoured 3 eminent Doctors from the State of J&K with Life Time Achievemen­t awards, in a ceremonial function. The awards were given in recognitio­n of dedicated services provided by them for the benefit of people in J&K. The awardees included Dr. N.S.Pathania - Founder Principal of GMC Jammu, Dr. Smanla T.Phuntsog - first Medical graduate and first MS from Ladakh Region and Dr. Girija Dhar - renowned Gynaecolog­ist and social worker from Kashmir Region

"It would be our aim to continue our focus on advanced clinical services. We hope to bring services such as organ transplant at our hospital. Patients would no longer need to travel outside the state for their healthcare needs", affirmed Cdr Navneet Bali, Director Northern Region, Narayana Health.

In addition to the out-patient services at its clinic in Jammu, the hospital has started its monthly OPD services at Rajouri, Sunderbani, Kathua & Doda.
