THE DECEASED’S FATHER SAYS THE RAPE CASE WAS FALSE AND HIS SON WAS FRAMED BY HIS DAUGHTERINLAW’S RELATIVE AND HE ENDED HIS LIFE DUE TO THE FALSE ALLEGATION

ROHTAK : A 36-year-old man, accused of raping his minor daughter, allegedly committed suicide in Bhiwani’s Palwas Haripur village by consuming poison, the police said on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Inderjeet Kumar. On May 2, Kumar’s 13-year-old daughter had registered a rape case against him at women police station.

While the police was conducting investigation, Kumar allegedly committed suicide feeling ashamed.

Kumar’s father Krishna said it was a false rape case lodged on the behest of their relative.

“My daughter-in-law’s relative Sombir, a lawyer, filled greed inside her mind and she made her minor daughter file rape case against her own father.” Krishna said.

He added, “This was clearly a false case and my son could have never even thought of doing such a cheap act. He felt so ashamed.”

Based on his version, the police have booked Sombir on charges of abetment to suicide.

Bhiwani women police station in-charge Savita Devi said it was not clear yet if the rape case was true or false.

“Only the forensic report can reveal the real picture, and it has not come out yet. On our part, we had registered the case and given counseling to the girl. Her statement was also recorded before a magistrate. Before we could make an arrest, we found out he has killed himself,” the station house officer said.
