HISAR: Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC), president Ashok Tanwar and Ranjeet Singh, son of former deputy Prime Minister of India, Devi Lal, will start a ‘Cycle Yatra’ from May 17, from the Chautala’s stronghold, Chautala village, under the Dabwali sub-division of Sirsa district.

Talking to Hindustan Times, HPCC state general secretary Hariom Kaushik said, “Everyone knows what the BJP is doing for the farmers. The main motive of this cycle yatra is to know the recent condition of every farmers and poor people in the state.”

“The Congress party will start this cycle yatra from Chautala village from May 17 and HPCC chief Ashok Tanwar and Congress leader Ranjeet Singh will visit every district and village of the state,” Kaushik added.

When asked about night stays of BJP ministers in the houses of Dalits in the state, Kaushik said the BJP was now copying Congress president Rahul Gandhi. “Congress is the only party that thinks about every community and always did good for the Dalits and poor by introducing new projects and jobs. If the BJP really wants to do something for anyone, they must introduce new projects and jobs,” Kaushik said.

Ranjeet said, “My father, Devi Lal, was a leader of the masses. And being his son, I feel proud that the Congress handed me this responsibility to check the recent condition of farmers in the state.”
