Khattar invites UK’s Indian diaspora to invest in Haryana
CHANDIGARH: Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar, who is leading a high-level delegation to the UK to woo investors, invited Indian diaspora to invest in Haryana. He interacted with Indian diaspora in Glasgow on Monday.
An official spokesperson said Khattar also met leaders from Leeds City region and key business persons to explore the possibilities of a bilateral collaboration arrangement between Haryana and Leeds City Region. Later he visited Advanced Manufacturing Park, Sheffield, and met captains of the industry.
He also discussed avenues for collaboration in the areas of manufacturing, particularly small and medium enterprise, aerospace and defence, industrial corridors, agri-processing with top company representatives in the Leeds region, including Leeds City Council CEO, Tom Riordan, the official spokesperson said. The meeting was arranged and facilitated by Yorkshire Asian Business Association
The CM also went around the Advanced Manufacturing Park Sheffield. Top companies like Boeing and Mclaren operate out of this region, and the park provided support to the manufacturing units in terms of technology and other related inputs.
Khattar designated managing director, HSIIDC, TL Satyaprakash, as the nodal officer for taking forward the Haryana Leeds Gateway initiative for all intents and purposes.
