POETIC JUSTICE

Permitting a Sikh soldier to wear a turban during the Queen’s birthday celebrations is a form of poetic justice. It has been a long wait since 1919, the year of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Any type of recognition to the Sikh community by the British will certainly add to the restoration of respect after that tragic event.
