LG A PAWN AT HANDS OF CENTRE: AAP

-

NEW DELHI: As senior leaders continued the siege at the Lieutenant Governor’s office, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday alleged that L-G Anil Baijal was a pawn in the hands of the Centre and was trying to scuttle development work in the national Capital. Rajya Sabha MP and senior AAP leader Sanjay Singh said that chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and his ministers were camping outside L-G Anil Baijal’s office for the people of Delhi.

“We are fighting so that slum dwellers can continue receiving free water, subsidised electricity, and quality health services...We will continue our demonstration for the people,” Singh said.

He said that the Modi government is trying to cripple the AAP government’s public welfare works. Chief minister Kejriwal and his cabinet ministers spent Monday night sprawled out at the L-G’s office for their demands, which included a direction to the IAS association by the L-G to end their “four month long strike”.
