CRPF chopper lands in Bihar field after technical snag

PATNA: Nine persons, who included the additional director general of the Central Reserve Police Force’s (CRPF) central zone, the IG, Bihar sector, a DIG, two commandant­s and a staff officer of the paramilita­ry force, had an escape on Wednesday when the chopper they were flying developed technical snags and had to make emergency ‘precaution’ landing in a field in Bihar’s Saharsha village under Uphara police station of Maoist-affected Aurangabad district. The chooper was brought from Jharkhand for surveying Maoist areas in the hilly and forest terrains of Chakarband­ha and Lutwa.
