MOHALI:To make e-auction more convenient and provide a common platform to promoters, builders and individuals for advertising their projects and properties, Punjab Urban Planning and Development Authority (PUDA) has developed an e-properties module, PUDA 360.

Chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh launched the web and mobile-based application in Chandigarh on Thursday.

With the launch, applicants will get the option of submitting online applications, in addition to the offline system.

The module will act as an advertising medium for promoters and builders.

Individuals will be able to avail the facility of selling, renting, and leasing out their properties by putting up information about their property on the module.

Complete details like the nature of the property, residential or commercial, plots or flats, area and location, name of the builder or owner, status of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Rera) registration, etc, will be uploaded on the module.

Besides further improving the delivery of PUDA services, the app would help check delays in sanction of building plans, issuance of no objection certificate, issuance of conveyance

deed and transfer of property etc, a government release added.

The housing department also launched a facility, called QR-based e-water bill, that allows consumers to generate bills on their own.

Consumers who install the PUDA 360 mobile app on their phones can get their bills by scanning their water meter and generating a QR Code.

Details of the bill will be made available, enabling consumers to either pay online or by visiting the office.

Using the app, users can also report any damage or the status and condition of their water meter to the department.
