MOGA:More than a week after he wrote to the deputy commissioner, claiming that some Congress MLAs had threatened him, additional deputy commissioner (ADC) Jagwinderjit Singh Grewal filed a police complaint against three unidentified men on Tuesday.

The ADC had met SSP Gurpreet Singh Toor on Monday, saying that there was threat to his life.

“Three men, who claimed to be workmen, tried to barge into my residence on Sunday on the pretext of showing the tiles to a prospective client,” he said, adding, “They did not reveal their names, but argued and abused me. They fled when I took out my mobile phone to call the police.”

When questioned about any connection of the incident with local Congress MLAs, the ADC said. “I have no enemy. That was a matter related to the office, while this incident is more personal. I have requested the SSP to protect my liberty.”

The SSP said, “We have provided security to the ADC and registered his complaint. The accused will be arrested soon.”

A case under sections 451 (house trespass), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 34 (act done in common intention) of the IPC has been registered against three unidentified men at the City Police Station on Tuesday.
