Capt to meet Israeli president on Oct 23; to ink farming MoU
CHANDIGARH: Punjab chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh will meet the President of Israel Reuven Rivlin on October 23 during his visit to the country. He will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the field of water conservation and agriculture sector.
The CM will also meet Israeli agriculture minister, Uri Ariel, and minister of energy and water resources, Yuval Steinitz. The MoUs are also on the agenda between Punjab Agricultural University and the Galilee Institute, as part of the seminar on ‘Investment Opportunities in Punjab’, to be held on October 23.
A spokesperon added Amarinder is scheduled to arrive in Israel on Sunday and return on October 25.
He is slated to visit historic and culturally important sites, and centres of hi-tech irrigation, agriculture, horticulture and dairy farming.
He will also visit the Commonwealth Cemetery for Battle of Haifa martyrs.
The media adviser to the chief minister, Raveen Thukral, additional chief secretary (ACS) industries Vini Mahajan, ACS development, Viswajeet Khanna, DGP, intelligence Dinkar Gupta and secretary, water resources Arunjit Maiglani would also accompany the chief minister.
AMARINDER IS SCHEDULED TO ARRIVE IN ISRAEL ON SUNDAY AND RETURN ON OCTOBER 25
