Umashankar, Ashima inducted in Haryana CMO
CHANDIGARH : The Haryana government on Monday effected a reshuffle in the chief minister’s office (CMO) removing additional principal secretary to the chief minister, Rakesh Gupta, and inducting V Umashankar in his place.
Umashankar who was the chief executive officer (CEO) Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority, will now hold the post of additional principal secretary to CM. Besides, excise and taxation commissioner Ashima Brar was also posted in the CMO as deputy principal secretary to CM. Ashima, who is the wife of IAS officer Mandeep Singh Brar who till recently was posted as deputy PSCM has replaced her husband. She would also be nodal officer, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao.
HCS officer Yashendra Singh was posted as special secretary in chief minister’s secretariat replacing Haryana Secretariat Service official Parmod Kumar.
However, Singh will not be a part of the CMO. He would also hold the charge of additional director (admn) and information, public relations department relieving Samwartak Singh Khangwal.
A total of 17 IAS officers and 11 HSC officers were transferred on Monday. An official spokespersons said Rakesh Gupta was posted as project director of CM’s good governance associates programme, director general (secondary education) and state project director, Haryana School Shiksha Pariyojna Parishad.
Vivek Joshi, principal secretary, monitoring and coordination , commissioner, Ambala division, chief administrator, Trade Fair Authority of Haryana, director, Swaran Jayanti Haryana Institute for Fiscal Management, principal resident commissioner, New Delhi and designated chief executive officer, Kundli -Manesar- Palwal Authority, was given the additional charge of CEO, Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority.
Amit Kumar Agrawal, who was secretary to governor, was posted as excise and taxation commissioner vice Ashima Brar.
Deepti Umashankar will hold additional charge of Ambala division commissioner and Praveen Kumar will be director general and secretary (welfare of scheduled castes and backward classes) vice Geeta Bharti.
HSIIDC Managing director TL Satyaprakash was posted as director general, industrial training and employment vice Ramesh Chander Bidhan.
Bidhan was posted as director, state transport department relieving Pankaj Agarwal. Ravi Prakash Gupta will be director and special secretary, archaeology and museums, relieving Rajiv Rattan, who has been posted as special secretary, Home-II. Priyanka Soni was posted as commissioner, municipal corporation, Panipat vice HCS officer Pradeep Kumar-I.
Pardeep Kumar-I, has been posted as general manager, Haryana Roadways, Jind vice RS Punia (transport). Virender Lather, additional director (admn), elementary education has been posted as additional transport commissioner relieving Jaideep Kumar. Pradhuman Singh, managing director, Cooperative Sugarmills, Karnal has been posted as general manager, Haryana Roadways, Karnal vice AK Dogra (transport).
