MASS TRANSFERS IN CBI
Shortly after taking over as interim CBI director, M Nageshwar Rao issued orders transferring or giving additional charge to officials in the agency
Arun Kumar Sharma joint director (policy), transferred to the Multi-Disciplinary Monitoring Authority (MDMA) as joint director. Sharma was handling technical surveillance and the anti-corruption unit. This unit was probing bribery case against Asthana. The MDMA, created to probe Rajiv Gandhi assassination case, is considered a “shunting post.” The charge of the policy division has been given to DIG Amit Kumar
