One killed, 10 injured as 2 cars collide in Fatehabad
HISAR:One person was killed and 10 others injured when their car collided with another car near Bhuna bypass on National Highway-9 of Fatehabad district on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Rajesh Sarbata, who is reportedly a relative of minister of state Krishan Bedi.
As per sources, Sarbata along with his nephew Vansh, 8, and friends Subhash Arora and Satish was on his way to Hisar from Fatehabad in an i-20 car when the tyres of the car burst.
As a result, Sarbata lost control over the vehicle and it rammed into the divider first and then collided with another car on the other side of the road.
The six passengers in the second car—all of them employees of SBI Bank, Hisar— and the driver received critical injuries.
They have been identified as Jitender, Suman, Deepika, Pradeep Sardana, Monika, Naresh Mehta and driver Satbir Singh. Police took all the injured
to the general hospital in Fatehabad. Sarbata succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
The body was sent for postmortem while the rest of the injured were referred to Agroha Medical College as their condition worsened.
Station house officer (SHO) Richpal Sahu said that a case will be registered after investigation.
