Class 11 boy stabbed by minor in Rohtak, hospitalis­ed

ROHTAK : A Class 11 boy was stabbed multiple times with knives allegedly by a minor boy of his own village.

As per the police, the victim and accused took up the fight that had happened between their sisters.

Police said the victim’s sister had a verbal feud with the sister of the accused, during a Diwalirela­ted cultural event.

As the two brothers intervened in the matter, the duo also had some altercatio­n.

As per the victim’s statement, the accused had on Diwali threatened to either shoot him dead or stab him with knives before December 4.

The victim said whenever he met the accused in the village, he would give a warning that the “date of his end was near.”

He said he was coming back from his agricultur­e fields on Saturday night when the accused attacked him from behind and stabbed him multiple times all over his body.

He was rushed to civil hospital from where he was referred to Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS) in Rohtak, where his condition is stated to be stable.

The police said that based on the victim’s statement, they have booked the accused under Section 307 (attempt to murder) and 503 (criminal intimidati­on).

He is yet to be arrested.
