We all work hard to attain our goals. We leave our comfort zones for the fulfilment of our long cherished dreams but we also indulge in the slush of negativity by complaining against people and situations when we are unable to pursue our dreams. Failures are not fatal. They tell you that there is another chance waiting for you. We rarely understand this and start criticising our destiny.

We give into our egos, doubts, rage and fear. These leave scars all over the canvas of our hard work and efforts.

Success and happiness have a lot to do with thankfulness and the art of expressing gratitude to the people, places, moments and situations that bring happiness to us. We often fail to realise the power of gratitude in our lives. But the day we start counting our blessings, the Almighty starts attending to our prayers. No matter how sincere our efforts and prayers are, we can never receive more until we appreciate what we have been bestowed with.

Start your day with a heartfelt thanks to all those who you value. It is not necessary to call and text everyone. Just make sure that in the couple of minutes that you devote to this silent act of gratitude, you remember their positive roles in your life. Also, never lose an opportunity to express kindness and love. Practice this and see how the glow of gratitude brightens your life.
