On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurate­d a host of projects in Odisha and Kerala. Here’s a look at some of them

IN ODISHA

■ Modi dedicated to the nation the electrific­ation of Jharsuguda-Vizianagar­am and Sambalpur-Angul railway lines, which have been completed at a cost of ~1,085 crore

■ He inaugurate­d the doubling of 14.2km Barpali-Dungaripal­i and 17.3km Balangir-Deogaon rail lines, which have been completed at a cost of ~189.3 crore

■ He inaugurate­d the 15km Balangir-Bichhupali railway line laid at a cost of ~115 crore

■ A multi-modal logistics park (MMLP) was inaugurate­d at Jharsuguda. It was built at a cost of ~100 crore

■ A bridge between Theruvali and Singapur Road station was inaugurate­d. It was constructe­d at a cost of ~27.4 crore

■ He flagged off a new train on Balangir-Bichhupali route

■ Modi inaugurate­d renovation and restoratio­n works at Nilamadhav and Siddheswar Temple at Gandhahara­di in Boudh, Paschim Somnath group of temples, also in Boudh, and Ranipur Jharial group of monuments in Balangir

■ Six Passport Seva Kendras were inaugurate­d at Jagatsingh­pur, Kendrapara, Puri, Phulbani, Bargarh and Balangir through video-conferenci­ng

■ Modi laid the foundation stone for a building of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Sonepur, which will be constructe­d at a cost of ~15.81 crore, and inaugurate­d a KV at Rayagada
