Sirsa police and administration are leaving nothing to chance as a CBI court is set to pronounce the quantum of sentence in the journalist Ram Chander Chhatrapati murder case on Thursday in which Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh has been convicted.
The Sirsa police have called additional two companies of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) to maintain law and order situation in the city that houses dera headquarters.
The forces on Wednesday also took out a flag march amid the alert that has been sounded in adjoining Hisar and Fatehabad districts.
The Fatehabad deputy commissioner (DC), JK Abhir, has imposed prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the CrPC.
A large number of Dera Sacha Sauda followers are from Fatehabad that is just 40km away from Sirsa.

Sirsa deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Ravinder Tomar said, “One naka has been laid at Shah Satnam Chowk on Begu Road, second near Jagdamba paper mill, another one near the 132KV power station, one near Vita milk plant and one outside the dera headquarters. No one will be allowed to breach the law.” “There will also be drones to monitor every situation in Sirsa,” DSP Tomar added.
