Rishabh Pant

Was one of the rare bright spots for Delhi in 2018, amassing 684 runs at an average of over 52. With Shikhar Dhawan coming in to strengthen the top-order, Pant will have to play the role of an enforcer among a crop of youngsters.

Kagiso Rabada

The South African pacer, who had to miss last season due to lower back injury, returns with Delhi Capitals hoping he can lead their attack from the front. Rabada has had a good run in ODIs this year, picking 13 wickets in nine games.

Colin Munro

The Kiwi all-rounder will be key at the top of the order. He may be asked to open up his arms from the word go, like he does for his national side. Has had a good run in T20s for NZ this year, with his latest T20 against India yielding 72 off 40 balls. RUNS AVG 93 11.62

Ishant Sharma

Hasn’t been in India’s limited-overs side for over three years and has played only 17 IPL games in the last five seasons -- none last year. But he comes on the back of 7 Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20 games and will hope he can cash in on a slim chance to make it to the World Cup squad.

Shikhar Dhawan

Dhawan was the bedrock of the Hyderabad franchise’s batting, scoring around 500 in each of the last three seasons. He last played for Delhi in the inaugural season, and with his return, the team will hope to enjoy solid top-order batting, something they’ve not had.
