People of every section are upset with BJP govt: Selja
HISAR/CHANDIGARH:Lashing out at the BJP government in Haryana, state Congress chief Kumari Selja on Thursday said people of every section were upset with it as poor law and order situation coupled with financial crisis had directly hit them.
Addressing a press conference in Hisar, Selja said, “The BJP government failed to bring new jobs and the current financial meltdown has rendered many unemployed. The BJP had made tall promises, but failed to implement any of those.” Talking about her party’s assembly poll preparedness, she said Congress workers were ready and would soon launch a door-to-door campaign.
On the list of candidates, Selja said it was in the pipeline and added that only experienced people will be the party faces in the upcoming elections.
“But the final decision regarding it would be taken after the Congress high command goes through the list,” she added.
Replying to a question about Congress leader Kuldeep Bishnoi who was conspicuous by his absence at the programme, she said election preparation was keeping everyone busy.
‘NRC IS BJP’S ONLY POLL PLANK’
Accusing the BJP of doing nothing in the past five years, Selja said all it had was the National Register of Citizens (NRC) which was being used as a poll plank. Meanwhile, CLP leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda, in another meeting, said, “The condition of farmers and poor in Haryana is very critical. The government has so far failed to provide proper compensation to farmers who suffered crop loss.”
