I have worked hard to resolve problems of constituents, but work is still in progress as these are legacy issues. Large-scale development has taken place, but I am concerned about stormwater drainage and sewage treatment in this area.

Constituency primer: Faridabad New Industrial Town (NIT) has 2.5 lakh voters and is dominated by Gujjar community. It also has a fair number of voters from other communities as well. The constituency has eight wards and is called mini-India as migrants from across the country have settled there and work in various industrial units.
Electoral history:
2014: INLD’s Nagender Bhadana defeated Pandit Shiv Charan Lal Sharma, an Independent, by 2,914 votes.
2009: Shiv Charan fought as an independent and defeated Congress’ AC Chaudhry by 7,875 votes.
How he performed: Bhadana says a long-pending demand of four decades was to develop road on both sides of Gocchi drain, which is happening now. Several other important roads in urban and local areas have been built. A motor-training school for heavy vehicles, a 120-bed Ayush hospital, 27 community centres and large spend on roads and drains in colonies are among major development initiatives. An STP in Pratapgarh is also in offing. Schools across the constituency have been upgraded as well, Bhadana says. By the way: He is an avid walker and covers about 10 km daily.
