I have dedicatedl­y served the people of Badkhal without any bias. Multiple projects were implemente­d to improve the facilities and quality of life in my constituen­cy. The new infrastruc­ture will transform Badkhal.

Educationa­l qualificat­ion: MA, LLB MLA’s electoral record: Seema comes from a business family with BJP leaning. She worked as a computer teacher for 15 yrs. In ’05, she won as a councilor and in ’09, fought on BJP ticket but lost. She won in 2014 by a huge margin.

Constituen­cy primer: Bhadkhal is a mix of urban sectors and large villages with a number of political heavyweigh­ts. The constituen­cy has eight big villages, 25 HSVP sectors, six large slums and four sectors wherein migrants from the partition era are settled. The area is also known for the famous Badkhal Lake, which is being revived.

Electoral history:

2014: BJP’s Seema Trikha defeated her nearest rival Mahender Partap Singh from Congress by 36,609 votes.

2009: Congress’ Mahender Partap Singh defeated Seema Trikha by 12, 679.

How she performed: Trikha says in last five years, Badkhal subdivisio­n and two tehsils have been created. A regional passport office has been made functional, Nahar Singh stadium is being upgraded, and a ring road has been built around the constituen­cy. YMCA University campus is being set up in Bhakri. She says BK hospital in the city has also been upgraded. Plan to rejuvenate Badkhal Lake has been set in motion and Gurugram-Faridabad metro system will soon take off as well, Trikha says.

By the way: Trikha has keen interest in meditation and music.
