Iam an eternal optimist and I believe when life gives you lemons, you should make lemonade,” says actor Ravi Dubey, who is utilising his time in lockdown effectively. He has acted and directed a music video, co-starring actorwife Sargun Mehta, which has received a positive response. “We are trying our best to be as effective as possible during the lockdown. We are also working on our production and thankfully, we didn’t start building a set for it, or else the costs incurred would have been high,” he says.

While working out, reading and “equipping himself with good cinema “, is his routine, he feels it is important to keep oneself engaged and states that “one should look at the positive side of life”. Dubey admits that it can get claustrophobic staying at home for long. “This is the time to nourish yourself. Creatively speaking, this time has many positives. You can decide how purposeful you can be, even during times when you are not getting validation from the outside world. Some people might be feeling that they have lost their sense of purpose in the lockdown. We can beat the virus with a chain of inspiration. When you meet someone, inspire them and we will sail through this time,” he says.

Dubey admits that while he has learnt a lot during the lockdown, he fears most of it “will be evaporated” once normalcy resumes. “I have realised that family is most important. And I would do anything to keep them safe. Also, that we can make do with bare minimum. Hamari saari daud khane peene pe aa kar ruk gayi hai. A house, food and family is what it is all about today. One should be grateful and thankful for these blessings,” he signs off.
