AAP to hold bike rallies in support of tractor parade
CHANDIGARH : The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday said that the party would hold motorcycle rallies across the state to mobilise the people for the farmers’ tractor parade on January 26. In a statement, AAP’s state president Bhagwant Mann and kisan wing chief Kultar Sandhwan said the party would hold bike rallies on January 23. The tractor parade would be the first of its kind on Delhi roads and all MLAs and office-bearers of the party would take part in the procession as citizens, they said, adding that the AAP would not participate as a political party. “The Constitution gives the right to protest peacefully, but the Centre is trying to take away that right,” they said.
