Gurgaon students accused of rape under technical surveillan­ce

GURGAON: The Gurgaon police have put the mobile numbers on technical surveillan­ce of the two students who are allegedly accused of raping their classmate on Friday. The two other accused were sent to juvenile home in Faridabad on Saturday.

A 16-year-old student of class 12 of a government school in Manesar was allegedly pushed inside a van by her four classmates and was taken to an isolated place where she was raped by two of them, said police.

The incident came into light after the victim did not reach home and her parents approached the school and learnt she was absent and did not reach the school on Friday.

Around 3.30pm, the victim reached home and narrated the incident to her parents and she was rushed to the police station and her medical examinatio­n was conducted. She was missing for seven hours, said police.

Two of the boys were arrested on Saturday while two are at large. The victim and the four

accused are classmates.

ACP( Crime) Rajesh Kumar said, “Both the students were sent to juvenile home in Faridabad on Saturday night after the investigat­ion. All the five students were missing from the school on Friday and the cyber crime branch is tracking the mobile numbers for early arrest. All of them are of same age.”

The police booked the four under section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and sections 363 and 365 (kidnapping) of the IPC.

Two students were sent to juvenile home after the probe. On Friday, all the five accused were missing from the school and the cyber crime branch is tracking the mobile numbers for early arrest. All of them are of same age.
