Nature teaches us that change is the only constant thing

I don’t understand how we all expect our lives to be full of only joys and no sorrows. Have we ever thought of a sky without clouds, a sea without waves and a day without night? We often think of successes, and the fear of failure always haunts us. Nature shows how change is constant and that no one can escape this truth.

Good and bad co- exist and it is for us to choose which way we go. Joys and pains are the resultant fruits of our actions. If we plant a bad seed we shouldn’t expect good fruits.

Birth and death are also part of the change to maintain balance in the world. Inclusion is the hallmark of life. If life has to go on, we cannot exclude its joys and sorrows. They also make us realise their impermanence and that there will be a new tomorrow. Wor ries, however, linger throughout our life. But hope springs that such a phase too will pass and life will be joyful again.

When we lose our dear and near ones, we feel that life has no meaning at all. But time is a great leveller. It wipes away our tears, so we can slowly overcome sadness. There are times when we feel that life is meaningless when we lose our dear ones. Are we left with a choice except living for our loved ones? How can we enjoy life without any problems? Breakdowns are bound to occur. The intelligent ones sail through difficulties. There is an old saying that a pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity, but an optimist sees opportunity in every difficulty. Success comes to those who are brave. Nature teaches us that nothing is permanent on this earth apart from change itself. It is the ultimate truth. Then why be sad if we can be so sure about change?
