Clumsy handling of Kashmir

This refers to Karan Thapar’s piece Kashmir in descent but not in free fall (Sunday Sentiments, July 17). Burhan Wani’s killing has proved to be the rallying point for the Kashmiri youth to vent their pent-up anger. The situation in Kashmir has been deteriorating over the years due to the Centre’s ham-handed approach.
